The first major plot point involves Huang Di-yang's character, Qiu Long-tai, the second son of the Shengtai Group, who is abducted in a meticulously planned fake car accident within a tunnel. His wife, Wei Xin-yu (Cai Gen-yan), is left at the scene of the crash. She is later discovered by Yao Chun-yao's character, tow truck driver Luo Guan-hao, who helps her seek assistance. Li Guoyi plays detective Chen Zhi-wei, who arrives to investigate the case and unexpectedly reunites with Luo Guan-hao.

Further complicating matters, Wei Xin-yu secretly pays the ransom to save her husband, evading the police. This leads to a thrilling car chase between Li Guoyi and Cai Gen-yan in a multi-story parking lot. Adding a dark twist, a suitcase containing the ransom money is found to hold a skeleton, deepening the mystery surrounding Qiu Long-tai's fate.
