American refueling tankers to be stationed in IDF bases, Ramon Airport as US reinforces Middle East

The United States is significantly increasing its military presence in the Middle East, with American refueling tankers and aircraft set to be stationed at Israeli Defense Forces bases and Ramon Airport.

A senior security official stated that the arrival of more US forces will lead to tighter coordination with the IDF, with the objective of shortening the response time from routine operations to emergency readiness. This strategic move is part of a broader effort to bolster the US posture against Iran.

Dozens of American refueling aircraft will be deployed across IDF bases and Ramon Airport in southern Israel. The official noted that if US strikes against Iran intensify, requiring additional refueling aircraft, they may land at Ben-Gurion Airport, despite existing agreements.

Over the weekend, 14 American military refueling aircraft arrived in Israel amid the ongoing escalation with Iran, according to an Israel Air Force source. As part of this buildup, the US military is also redeploying F-35 and F-15 aircraft from Britain and Germany, including specialized units for suppressing enemy air defenses and radars.

These deployments are intended to hinder the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' efforts to recover its capabilities. Additionally, the US is operating more than 20 Navy warships and hundreds of aircraft across the Middle East to maintain a naval blockade on Iranian ports and beaches, including the Strait of Hormuz. The exact locations of US special forces remain undisclosed due to the highly secret nature of their operations.
