AMSS Urges Caution Amid Sudden Downpours; Trucks Face Four-Hour Waits at Šid Crossing

The Automobile Association of Serbia (AMSS) has issued a warning to drivers, urging them to be cautious on the roads due to unpredictable weather. Sudden downpours are expected, which can rapidly alter driving conditions. Drivers are advised to reduce their speed and increase the distance between vehicles to ensure safety.

The unstable weather poses a significant challenge not only for passenger vehicles but also for commercial transport. The AMSS statement highlights that these conditions can create hazardous situations on the roads, emphasizing the need for heightened vigilance.

In addition to the weather-related advisories, the AMSS also reported substantial delays for truck traffic at the Šid border crossing. Trucks are currently facing waiting times of up to four hours, indicating potential disruptions to supply chains and cross-border commerce. The combination of adverse weather and border congestion presents a complex scenario for logistics and travel.
