Don Antero Ugalde, the father of Mexican singer Ana Bárbara, has made explosive claims, alleging that his daughter orchestrated an attack against him. Ugalde stated that the singer, whom he affectionately used to call 'la Peque,' sent his own son, Francisco 'Pancho' Ugalde, to physically assault him. This alleged act of violence was reportedly a response to Antero speaking publicly about the fractured relationship between father and daughter.

Speaking to the program "Venga la alegría," Don Antero recounted how his son, Francisco, warned him about Ana Bárbara's anger. According to Antero, his daughter instructed Pancho to "go and beat the shit out of my dad" after Antero had given interviews discussing their poor relationship. This revelation has deeply angered the elder Ugalde, who feels betrayed by his daughter's alleged actions.

Visibly furious, Don Antero expressed his deep disappointment and anger, calling Ana Bárbara a "bad daughter." He highlighted his years of support and care for her well-being, contrasting it with what he perceives as her deliberate turning away from him. He recalled telling Pancho during the confrontation, "Imagine if you touch a hair on me, you die there and I die there too, you bastard."
