Antalya Prostitution Operation Leads to 5 Arrests, 14 Women Rescued

An operation by the Antalya Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch has resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the rescue of 14 women involved in prostitution. The operation targeted an establishment in the Güzeloba neighborhood on Lara Street, which was identified as a place facilitating prostitution. Authorities aimed to detect and prevent prostitution, curb the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, and rescue women forced into the sex trade.

During the operation, police apprehended five suspects. Following legal proceedings, two of the suspects were released under judicial control, a measure that imposes certain restrictions but allows them to remain free pending further investigation. The remaining three suspects were taken into custody and formally arrested. The rescued women were identified as victims in the case. The police department emphasized its commitment to combating such activities and protecting vulnerable individuals.
