Osasuna has parted ways with coach Alessio Lisci following a disappointing end to the season, marked by five consecutive defeats. The club announced the decision, thanking the Italian coach for his dedication during his tenure. Lisci guided Osasuna to a 17th-place finish in La Liga, just one spot above the relegation zone. This outcome is a significant drop from earlier in the season when the team was competing for a spot in the Europa Conference League. The club's performance declined sharply in the final matches, leading to a tense final game where their survival in the top flight was uncertain. This season marks Osasuna's weakest performance since Croatian forward Ante Budimir joined the club in October 2020. Despite the team's struggles, Budimir had a strong individual season, finishing as the league's third-highest scorer with 17 goals, behind only Vedat Muriqi and Kylian Mbappé. The replacement for Lisci has not yet been announced.
