APC debunks changes to Adamawa primaries list

The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has firmly denied reports circulating on social media alleging that candidates selected during recent primaries were replaced in Abuja. The party has characterized these claims as sponsored efforts to incite crisis within the party ranks.

Dogo Victor, the APC spokesperson in Adamawa State, explicitly dismissed the allegations when contacted. "Do not mind them. There is nothing like that. Nobody has been replaced with another name. The primary election results remain intact," he stated, emphasizing the integrity of the electoral process.

Victor suggested that individuals who did not succeed in the primaries, which he described as having been conducted in a free and fair environment, are behind the rumors. He asserted that the APC in Adamawa State operates as a united family. The social media reports had specifically named several individuals, including House of Representatives member Dauda Nyampa and James Barka, as well as Abuja-based politician Hajiya Ramatu Bello, claiming their statuses were altered in Abuja.

Further allegations circulating online suggested a connection to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and claimed attempts to sideline allies of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri ahead of the 2027 general elections. There were also claims of intervention by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, regarding a Senate ticket. The party spokesman reiterated that the results as collated in Adamawa remain unchanged, countering all claims of alterations.
