APC figure empowers 50 Ogun women and rallies support for Yayi in 2027

Fifty women in Ogun State received cash assistance at a programme designed to support their livelihoods and build grassroots backing for Senator Solomon Adeola’s 2027 governorship campaign.

Titi Fagbote, popularly known as Ayoka and an All Progressives Congress figure in the state, held the programme at Omidokun Hall in Ayetoro, in Yewa North Local Government Area. The beneficiaries included hairdressers, fashion designers and elderly women. The event also inaugurated members and supporters of the Ayoka Women for Yayi group.

Even before becoming Governor, it is evident that Yayi has done so much, brought a lot of development and touched so many lives in Yewa North Local Government Area of this state. Our people see it, they feel it, and they know that Yayi is exceptional.

Fagbote said she launched the initiative for two reasons: to demonstrate what she had learned as an Adeola supporter and to show that responsibility for empowering citizens should not rest entirely with him. She described Adeola as a politician whose development interventions had made a significant impact across Yewa North.

“Even before becoming Governor, it is evident that Yayi has done so much, brought a lot of development and touched so many lives in Yewa North Local Government Area of this state,” Fagbote said. “Our people see it, they feel it, and they know that Yayi is exceptional.”

What I know is that Yewa women are hardworking, industrious and supportive of their husbands. It means, therefore, that when we empower our women folks, we are actually building our future, as what we do automatically impacts the children and men folks as well.

She urged members of the women’s group to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 election by highlighting Adeola’s record as a senator and communicating his plans for Ogun State. She also argued that supporting women’s economic progress benefits their families because women are hardworking and industrious members of the community.

Representing Adeola’s wife, Temitope Adeola, Olori Adebisi Olaotan condemned what she called repeated attacks on the senator’s state of origin. She said Adeola is from Ilaro in Yewa South Local Government Area and dismissed rumours that he comes from Ekiti State.

Over time, we have had situations whereby they keep attacking the personality of Yayi. And we keep looking at them as if nothing has happened.
