APC Issues Ultimatum to Warring Factions in Anambra, Affirms Leaders

The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a stern warning to factions within the party in Anambra State, threatening to deal decisively with troublemakers. The APC fact-finding committee, led by Deputy National Chairman (South) Dr. Ben Nwoye, met with stakeholders to address the persistent divisions plaguing the party since its primary election in March.

Dr. Nwoye stated that the party leadership is not up for debate, reaffirming Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife as the recognized leader and deputy leader, respectively. He emphasized that these positions must be respected. "I'm not here to massage your ego, but I read a riot act to you and you must abide by it," Nwoye declared, underscoring the seriousness of the situation.

The committee is exploring two options: dissolving the executive committees of the warring factions or aligning with the state leadership under Emma Anosike. Nwoye warned that any individual acting as a "thug" would be treated as such, regardless of their factional affiliation, during the reconciliation process. The party aims to resolve internal disputes through consultation and inclusiveness to ensure a united front for future electoral contests.

As this proceedings continue, I don’t want to know which faction of the party you belong to, if you constitute yourself into a thug, we will treat you as such. You must respect yourself through out the period of this reconciliation.
