APC Leaders Gather in Osogbo for Burial of National Secretary's Mother

Osogbo, Osun State – A significant gathering of All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders convened in Osogbo for the funeral of Mrs. Sidikat Basiru, mother of the party's National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru. The solemn occasion drew prominent figures from across the party's hierarchy.

Among those present were APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda and Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum. They participated in the janazah prayers at the Ansa ru-deen Mosque before Mrs. Basiru's remains were interred. Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa also attended, arriving shortly after the burial rites concluded to offer condolences at Senator Basiru's residence.

The event saw hundreds of sympathizers join the political dignitaries. Other notable attendees included APC governorship candidate for Oyo State, Sharafadeen Alli; APC gubernatorial candidate in Osun, Bola Oyebamiji; and former Osun State deputy governor Titi-Laoye Ponle. Mrs. Basiru's death was announced on Sunday, marking a somber occasion for the APC leadership and their supporters.
