The new Thai horror-suspense romance film "The Undertaker" (鬼汙), produced by the creators of the popular series "KinnPorsche The Series," has debuted at the top of the box office in Thailand. The film has garnered significant attention for its star-studded cast, which includes prominent Thai celebrities Engfa, Apo, Jes, and Freen, sparking widespread discussion on social media.

Actor Apo, known for his charismatic roles, underwent a dramatic physical transformation for his character, a seemingly ordinary botanist with hidden secrets. He embraced a "de-fashionized" look, personally selecting simple footwear and even shaving his head for the role. Apo described the challenge of portraying a deeply introverted character, comparing the internal struggle to a phone overloaded with data, running slowly and becoming unresponsive.

Director's creative choices added to the film's unpredictable nature, with script elements reportedly evolving daily on set, incorporating elements of comedy and horror. Jes, who plays Apo's close friend, delivered a powerful performance, while the cast's camaraderie led to playful interactions on set, often requiring the director's intervention.

The cast members are similar in age, so on set, it was like a group of elementary school students going on a field trip. We often messed around and added funny jokes to each other, sometimes going too far, forcing the director to step in and yell 'stop'.

The film also features contrasting female leads. Engfa showcases a bold, sexy persona, while Freen adopts a more understated approach. Freen humorously described her character, whose name translates to "clear water" in Thai, as being like a bowl of Tom Yum clear soup, emphasizing her non-sensual role in contrast to Engfa's fiery presence.
