Appointment and dismissal decisions published in Turkey’s Official Gazette

A broad set of appointments and dismissals across Turkey’s ministries and public institutions has been published in the Official Gazette under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s signature.

Enver Osman Kaan was removed as president of the Religious Affairs Academy within the Presidency of Religious Affairs, and Ahmet Bostancı was appointed in his place. The decision also removed the provincial muftis of Bilecik, Karabük, Kocaeli, Nevşehir, Zonguldak and Konya.

The Official Gazette listed a long series of new provincial appointments. Yusuf Dikmen was named to Bilecik, Fethullah Yavuz to Tunceli, and Aydın provincial mufti Seyfullah Çakır to Aydın, among many others. The changes covered provinces including Iğdır, Kilis, Bolu, Giresun, Hakkari, Niğde, Kars, Gümüşhane, Karaman, Isparta, Kırklareli, Aksaray, Bayburt, Diyarbakır, Erzincan, Yalova, Rize, Şanlıurfa, Van, Bitlis, Bartın, Samsun, Adana, Afyonkarahisar, Burdur, Sinop and Kütahya.

The Culture and Tourism Ministry appointments included Hüseyin Yalçın Çakar as deputy director general for fine arts. Ayhan Gök was appointed Antalya provincial culture and tourism director, İbrahim Emre Gürsoy was assigned to Bolu and Celal Baz to Şırnak. The report also began listing a vacancy appointment at the Erzurum Regional Directorate of Foundations.
