Arab Contractor Accuses Kuwaiti Citizen of Assault, Blackmail and KD500 Theft

An Arab expatriate contractor has filed a police complaint against a Kuwaiti citizen, alleging that a dispute over construction work led to assault, blackmail and the theft of KD500.

The contractor told police that he had agreed with the suspect to carry out construction work and completed the job. He later received a call asking him to come to the suspect’s diwaniya to discuss work-related matters.

According to the complaint, the suspect assaulted and blackmailed him after he arrived, threatening to harm him at his workplace. The contractor also alleged that the man took two bank cards and KD500 in cash from his wallet.

The complainant said no witnesses were present and that the alleged incident occurred inside the suspect’s diwaniya. Sabah Al-Nasser Police Station registered the case and an investigator ordered the Kuwaiti man, who is in his fifties, to be summoned over the allegations.

The case will be referred to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation before being submitted to the Public Prosecution for legal action.
