They asserted that legitimate Somali institutions are the sole representatives of the Somali people. In a sharp retort, the Republic of Somaliland accused these nations of hypocrisy, questioning why they do not condemn terrorist groups like al-Shabaab, ISIS, or Iran's proxies. Somaliland highlighted its status as a peaceful, democratic, and terror-free success story in the Horn of Africa, emphasizing that Israel's acknowledgment of this truth forms a genuine partnership.
