Argentina opens applications for Agricultural Excellence Award, seeking innovation leaders

Argentina's agricultural sector is invited to showcase its innovative spirit as applications open for the 24th edition of the Agricultural Excellence Award. This prestigious recognition, jointly organized by Galicia and La Nación, aims to honor producers, companies, organizations, and entrepreneurs who are driving innovation, adopting technology, and creating value within the Argentine agro-industry.

The theme for this year's award is 'Innovate to anticipate the future,' emphasizing projects that not only transform processes and incorporate knowledge but also generate a significant positive impact throughout the entire agro-industrial chain. Organizers hope to provide visibility to groundbreaking experiences that can serve as inspiring examples for others in the sector.

Emmanuel Zuázquita, Head of Commercial Multiplatform at La Nación, stated that the award's primary objective is to recognize and highlight those who are spearheading transformations in agriculture. "We want to recognize the people, ventures, and companies that generate employment and a positive impact in the sector," he explained. "The idea is to give them visibility so that these stories can have a ripple effect and inspire others."

Hernán Busch, Manager of Agribusiness at Galicia, underscored the 24-year commitment of both institutions to the sector, highlighting the award's federal reach and its role in fostering pride within local communities. He noted that the award has adapted over the years, shifting from 16 categories to a more focused selection to reflect the evolving dynamics of the agricultural landscape, including the growing importance of sustainability.

Busch also emphasized that the award values the merit of projects over the size of the enterprise. "A company doesn't win because it's bigger. We've seen small companies triumph over very large corporations because what's evaluated is the effort, innovation, and how they do things," he said. The deadline for submissions is October 2, with the awards ceremony set for November 18.
