Argentina’s foreign minister clarifies “bioceanic” comments and backs treaties with Chile

Argentina’s foreign minister, Pablo Quirno, has moved to clarify recent remarks about his country’s “bicontinental and bioceanic” status.

The comments drew attention in Chile as tensions between the two countries continued over the Strait of Magellan. Quirno issued the clarification through a post on his social media account and backed the treaties signed with Chile.
