Argentina's 'monotributo' to increase 16.8% from August

Argentine "monotributistas" (individuals registered under the simplified tax regime) face a 16.8% increase in their monthly payments starting August 2026. This adjustment aligns with the accumulated inflation rate for the year, as announced following the latest inflation index.

The official ARCA (Agencia de Recaudación y Control Aduanero) website will soon publish the updated tax brackets and corresponding monthly payment amounts. These new figures will reflect the revised scales for the second half of the year. The increase affects all categories, with specific new monthly payment amounts detailed for categories A through K.

In addition to the payment adjustment, "monotributistas" must also complete their second recategorization for 2026. This process, due by Wednesday, August 5, requires individuals to assess their turnover from July 2025 to June 2026 and compare it against the new income ranges for each category. This ensures they are correctly placed in the appropriate tax bracket following the updated figures.
