Argentina, U.S. Conclude 42-Day Joint Military Exercise 'Combined Dagger Atlantic'

Argentina's armed forces recently concluded a 42-day joint military exercise, "Combined Dagger Atlantic 2026," with the United States Special Operations Forces. The training aimed to elevate preparation standards and interoperability through complex scenario exercises.

More than 350 military and civilian personnel were involved, encompassing various specialties such as aviation, communication, logistics, and operational medicine. The exercises took place in realistic, rugged, and hostile environments across Buenos Aires and Cordoba provinces. These conditions were designed to foster new capabilities and train troops under high-demand situations.

The training regimen included live-fire exercises, tactical maneuvers, isolated personnel rescue simulations, operational planning, and special mission execution. Key participants from Argentina's forces included Amphibious Commandos, Tactical Divers, amphibious troops, long-range reconnaissance elements, and special operators from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

The latter phase focused on operational strategy, overseen by the Joint Special Operations Command. This involved developing command and control of special operations, integrating advanced command and control systems. The collaborative effort with U.S. forces utilized aircraft and helicopters for demanding logistical and tactical training.
