Argentine Agriculture's Innovation Honored at Excellence Awards

In a landscape shaped by digital transformation, environmental concerns, and an increasingly demanding global market, Argentina's agricultural sector is once again showcasing its ability to innovate, adapt, and create value. By integrating new technologies, adopting more sustainable practices, and adopting a long-term vision, the sector is reinforcing its role as a key driver of the nation's economic and social development. Its commitment, resilience, and evolution deserve recognition.

Under the theme "Innovate to anticipate the future," the 24th "Excellence in Agriculture" award, organized by LA NACION and Galicia, will be held on November 18. This long-standing award aims to honor and highlight individuals, companies, and ventures that have distinguished themselves over the past year. Each project tells a story of Argentines who see and achieve beyond their own borders, inspiring the entire country.

Registration for the award will open soon, with submissions accepted until October 2. Participants can compete in eight different categories. A distinguished jury will select the nominees and winners. This year's jury includes Hernán Busch (Banco Galicia), José Del Rio (LA NACION), Roberto Bisang (UBA/CONICET), Matilde Bunge (CREA), and Francisco Oliverio (Fundación Producir Conservando). The jury will convene on October 26.

The award categories for this edition include "Extensive Agriculture" (covering all crops and regions, including seeds and forage), "Opening to the World" (for companies with global reach), "Technological Innovation" (focusing on efficiency and new markets in production, genetics, management, and bioengineering), "Agri-food Industry" (for companies excelling in productivity and added value), "Sustainable Management" (recognizing economic, environmental, and social sustainability), and "Animal Production" (encompassing all stages of livestock production, including genetics, beef, dairy, pork, and poultry).
