Argentine teens recognized at South Korea robotics world championship for completing technical challenge

María Virginia Viollaz and Elías Cordero, both Argentinians aged 18 and 19, have achieved recognition at the RoboCup 2026 World Championship held in South Korea. Representing Argentina for the first time in the Autonomous Football's Technical Challenge, the duo traveled to Incheon. Their robot was the only one capable of completing the technical challenge, a significant feat in the competition.

Despite the competitive environment, Viollaz and Cordero approached the event with a primary focus on learning. They stated their expectation was to "prioritize learning over the result." This mindset highlights a dedication to skill development and knowledge acquisition, even on a global stage.
