Argentine Wines Earn Perfect Score from Master of Wine Tim Atkin

The Argentine wine industry's high quality has been further validated by British Master of Wine Tim Atkin, who awarded a perfect 100 points to the Uní del Bonnesant Monte Alabanza 2024 from Bodega Per Se in his Argentina Special Report 2026. This exceptional score, given to a wine with only 384 bottles produced for this vintage, underscores the refinement and elevated standards of Argentine wines.

Atkin's report, eagerly anticipated by the industry, also bestowed 99 points on three renowned wines: Noemía 2022, Cheval des Andes 2023, and La Craie Monte Alabanza 2024. Additionally, nine other wines received outstanding scores of 98 points, including labels from prominent producers like Altos Las Hormigas, Catena Zapata, El Porvenir de Cafayate, Raquis, and Zuccardi Valle de Uco.

Beyond the scores, Atkin's "podium" section celebrates influential figures and establishments. Pablo Cúneo of Luigi Bosca was named "winemaker of the year." Bodegas Salentein in Valle de Uco was recognized as the "winery of the year," and Rutini Wines' rosé and Bodegas López's Malbec were highlighted as "wine of the year" and "value wine of the year," respectively. The report also draws attention to emerging producers and lesser-known labels, encouraging global discovery of Argentina's diverse wine offerings.
