Argentine YouTuber Gaspi dies in Rio de Janeiro helicopter crash

A mid-air collision between two helicopters over Rio de Janeiro on Sunday morning resulted in the deaths of all six people on board. Among the victims was Argentine YouTuber Gaspar Prim Díaz, widely known as Gaspi.

The tragic accident occurred in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood. One of the helicopters, with registration PP-MAC, exploded upon impact with the ground. Gaspi was reportedly traveling in this aircraft. Also among the deceased were American singer and producer Oliver Tree, his Brazilian music producer Lucas Brito Chaves, and Argentine music video director Lucas Vignale.

Brazilian authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. The helicopters collided in flight and subsequently crashed onto a busy avenue, causing flames and a large plume of smoke visible from afar. Videos shared on social media captured the moments of the collision and the aftermath.

Gaspi, whose real name is Gaspar Prim Díaz, was known for his irreverent humor and provocative style on social media. He gained popularity through spontaneous street encounters in Buenos Aires, often marked by his signature greeting "buenass" and a deep voice.
