Army foils kidnap attempts, rescues 10 victims in Plateau, Kaduna

These "decisive operations" involved aggressive pursuits of fleeing suspects, reinforcing the military's commitment to securing roads and communities within its operational area. In the Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, troops responded to a report of kidnappers blocking a highway. Upon arrival, they found an abandoned vehicle and, after a search of the surrounding bushes, rescued six passengers who had boarded the commercial vehicle in Lafia, Nasarawa State, en route to Jos. The driver of the vehicle is still missing, and a search is ongoing.

They foiled an ongoing abduction attempt, forcing the criminals to flee into a nearby forest. The troops pursued the suspects and rescued a pastor and his wife, who had sustained injuries during the assault. The couple was taken to a local clinic for treatment, and a manhunt for the perpetrators has been launched.
