Army officer’s son, 20, dies in Delhi after car skids off road, falls in drain

A tragic accident in southwest Delhi claimed the life of 20-year-old Yashvendra, a student pursuing higher education in the United States. The incident occurred early Friday morning near the Nangal Dewat red light in Vasant Kunj when the car Yashvendra was driving skidded on a slippery road surface.

According to police, Yashvendra and a female friend, who owns the car, had spent the previous night at a friend's house. They were heading towards the woman's residence when the vehicle lost control while navigating a sharp turn. The car veered off the road, plunged into a drain, and overturned.

Yashvendra sustained severe injuries in the crash. He was rushed for medical treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. His female companion, who was in the front passenger seat, survived the accident. Police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident.
