Arokodare Top Choice for Italian Serie A Pisa Next Season

Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare is reportedly a primary target for Italian Serie A club Genoa as they seek to strengthen their attacking options for the upcoming season. Genoa is evaluating several profiles, with Arokodare emerging as a significant consideration.

Arokodare, who has 10 caps and two goals for Nigeria, joined Wolves from Genk in September 2025 for a reported €26 million. His current market value is estimated at €20 million by Transfermarkt. He has also attracted interest from Turkish clubs Trabzonspor, Galatasaray, and Beşiktaş, with Fiorentina previously submitting a loan offer that included a €22 million buy clause.

In a related development, Belgian club Genk is reportedly nearing a deal to sign another Nigerian forward, Rafiu Durosinmi, from Italian side Pisa. Durosinmi joined Pisa in the winter transfer window after impressing at Czech club Viktoria Plzeň, but his move to Italy did not yield significant success, with only one goal in 12 appearances as Pisa was relegated from Serie A.

Despite Pisa's struggles, the 23-year-old Durosinmi is poised for a fresh start. Genk is said to be in the final stages of negotiations, with the transfer fee expected to be between €10 million and €11 million, which would set a new club record for Genk. The Belgian club has a history of developing Nigerian strikers, having previously nurtured talents like Paul Onuachu and Tolu Arokodare, and will hope Durosinmi can continue that success story.
