A growing number of Jewish Republicans are reportedly looking beyond Vice President JD Vance for the 2028 presidential nomination, with many coalescing around Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This shift comes as Vance has alienated some within the party's Jewish base due to his criticisms of Israeli officials, his perceived tolerance of anti-Israel conspiracy theories, and his silence regarding pundit Tucker Carlson's increasingly anti-Israel rhetoric.

Rubio, currently serving as Trump's secretary of state and national security adviser, has cultivated support through his unwavering backing of Israel and his assertive stance against Iran. He has indicated a willingness to lift restrictions imposed by the Biden administration on Israeli settler groups in the West Bank and recently vowed to dismantle the International Criminal Court, which has issued arrest warrants for Israeli leaders.
