Asake announces 'In God We Trust' Europe and North America tour following record-breaking album success

Nigerian artist Asake is embarking on a major 'In God We Trust' tour, spanning 16 cities across Europe and North America. The tour, set to begin July 4 and conclude October 24, includes stops in major music hubs like London, Paris, Toronto, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, as well as Afronation Portugal. This extensive run follows the massive success of his latest album, M$NEY, which dropped on May 1, 2026. The album has already broken Spotify records, securing the biggest opening week streams for an African album with 55.98 million streams and setting a new Spotify Nigeria record with 37.5 million streams. It also topped the Apple Music UK Chart, making Asake the first African artist to have five projects reach number one on that chart. M$NEY, Asake's fourth studio album, is his first release under his independent label, Giran Republic, in partnership with EMPIRE. The 13-track project features collaborations with Tiakola, DJ Snake, and Kabza De Small. Reviewers noted a shift in his sound, described as more measured and cohesive compared to his earlier work, a direction that drew both praise and mild criticism.
