Asus enters the tablet market with new ASUS Pad featuring 12.2-inch OLED screen for binge-watchers, large battery for work and play

Asus has officially introduced its latest tablet, the ASUS Pad, targeting users who prioritize entertainment and productivity on the go. The new device boasts a large 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED eye-care display, designed to enhance viewing experiences with improved brightness and color stability. This screen technology, certified by German TÜV Rheinland, aims to reduce eye strain during extended use.

Under the hood, the ASUS Pad is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 octa-core processor, striking a balance between high performance and low power consumption. It is equipped with a substantial 9,000mAh battery, promising all-day usage, and supports fast charging, capable of reaching 50% charge in just 30 minutes. The tablet comes in a new "Cloud White" color, blending style with practicality.

Beyond its entertainment capabilities, which include four-channel Dolby Atmos surround speakers for immersive audio, the ASUS Pad emphasizes productivity. Features like ASUS GlideX allow for cross-platform screen sharing with Asus laptops, effectively turning them into a second display. With optional accessories such as the ASUS Pen stylus, wireless keyboard, and protective case, users can engage in note-taking, drawing, and document editing. The tablet also integrates Google's AI-powered Circle to Search function for quick information retrieval.

The ASUS Pad is available starting at NT$19,999 (approximately $600 USD), with options to acquire it for as low as NT$0 with specific carrier plans. Storage can be expanded via a MicroSD card, and the device comes with 256GB of internal storage.
