Asus ROG G1000 breaks the mold with holographic fans and top-tier performance

Asus is turning the gaming desktop into a display case with the ROG G1000, whose three X-shaped AniMe Holo fans project animated images onto the machine. Players can show anime characters, cheering animations or their own designs alongside the computer's high-end hardware.

The desktop supports images, GIFs and MP4 videos, creating a three-dimensional visual effect that sets it apart from conventional gaming towers. Its lighting can also synchronize with ROG keyboards, mice and monitors through Asus' Aura Sync technology.

The G1000 targets demanding users, with configurations reaching AMD Ryzen 9 X3D processors, an ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card, 128GB of DDR5 memory and 4TB of SSD storage. Asus says the system is designed for AAA games, livestreaming, AI workloads and video production.

To handle the hardware, Asus uses a 104-liter tower chassis with a 420mm all-in-one liquid-cooling system and its ROG Thermal Atrium design. The company says the cooler can reduce intake temperatures by up to 16 degrees during high-load operation. Standardized components and tool-free upgrades are intended to make later expansion or replacement easier.

The ROG G1000 starts at NT$199,999. From now through Sept. 30, buyers of selected ROG gaming desktops can receive a ROG 20th Anniversary gift box and the local AI software Armor EdgeAI, which processes data on the device and reduces reliance on cloud computing.
