At Inauguration of More Road Projects, Tinubu Says His Government was Reflating Local Economy

President Bola Tinubu inaugurated newly rehabilitated and expanded roads in Abuja's Karu Interchange area, asserting that his administration is actively revitalizing the nation's local economy. The projects, which include vital adjoining roads, are presented as a fulfillment of promises to reduce urban congestion and enhance the quality of life for Nigerians.

Speaking at the inauguration, which followed the opening of a water supply network in the same district a week prior, Tinubu emphasized that development must directly benefit the daily lives of citizens. He stated that the road network is a tangible product of the administration's "Renewed Hope Agenda," designed to tackle severe traffic congestion that has historically hampered productivity and resident well-being in the critical FCT gateway corridor.

The newly completed roads are expected to significantly cut down travel times, eliminate traffic gridlocks, and foster a more conducive environment for businesses in the densely populated area. Additionally, modern solar-powered streetlights have been installed along the entire network to enhance security by illuminating dark stretches and reducing night-time crime.
