At least 12 hurt due to unusual turbulence on Air India flight from Thailand to Delhi

An Air India flight en route from Phuket, Thailand, to New Delhi, India, encountered severe turbulence on Tuesday, resulting in injuries to 12 individuals aboard. The incident, which caused a sudden drop in altitude, affected 10 passengers and two crew members.

The flight, identified as AI2379 and operated by an Airbus A320 with 134 passengers, reportedly dropped about 300 feet. While the aircraft sustained some damage, it continued its journey and landed safely at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi shortly after 11 a.m. local time.
