At least 36 homes affected by rains in Los Teques

At least 36 homes suffered damage following intense rainfall on Saturday evening in Los Teques, the capital of Guaicaipuro municipality in Venezuela's Miranda state. Mayor Farith Fraija announced the extent of the damage via Instagram, stating that municipal social development teams are actively assisting the affected families.

Fraija confirmed that municipal workers would conduct house-to-house visits to ensure timely support for those impacted. Security and rescue forces have been deployed across the municipality to manage the emergencies arising from the downpour. Additionally, crews from ServiGuaicaipuro and the Miranda state government are collaborating to clear debris from roadways.

The heavy rains also led to a critical incident involving a vehicle that plunged into the El Alambique stream with three people on board. Rescue operations were immediately launched along the stream. Authorities successfully rescued one of the occupants, a minor, who is currently recovering at the Victorino Santaella Hospital. However, two individuals remain missing following the incident, and search efforts are ongoing by various security and rescue agencies.
