ATEEZ's Hongjoong to Perform Despite Fractured Rib, Agency Cites Artist's Will

Hongjoong, a member of the popular K-pop group ATEEZ, is set to perform on stage despite a recent diagnosis of a fractured rib. His agency, KQ Entertainment, announced on August 13 that Hongjoong sought medical attention for a persistent cough, which led to the diagnosis and a recommendation for ample rest.

Despite the medical advice, Hongjoong expressed a strong personal desire to fulfill his existing commitments. Respecting his wishes, KQ Entertainment stated they will allow him to participate in scheduled events to the extent that it does not exacerbate his injury. This decision prioritizes the artist's own volition while managing his recovery.

Consequently, Hongjoong plans to adjust his performance scope for upcoming schedules, starting with the Istanbul Festival on August 14. His involvement will be flexible, adapting to his physical condition on any given day. ATEEZ recently released their 14th mini-album, 'GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5,' in June, which topped the Billboard 200 chart for the third time.
