Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has launched a sharp rebuke against President Bola Tinubu's government, condemning the recent spate of killings in Southern Kaduna as a "damning verdict" on its handling of national security. Abubakar stated that the massacre of innocent residents in Kauru Local Government Area underscores the federal government's failure in its constitutional duty to protect lives and property.

Abubakar asserted that the priority of any responsible government should be the safety of its citizens.
