Attempted Femicide Victim in Morelos Refuses to Forgive Attacker, Demands Justice

Paula Fajardo, a victim of attempted femicide in Morelos, has firmly stated she will not forgive Jorge Rabadán, the father of her four children, who is accused of severe violence against her. Fajardo is demanding that Rabadán face the full extent of legal consequences for the harm inflicted upon her and their children.

Last May, Fajardo brought her ordeal to light by sharing videos on social media depicting Rabadán assaulting her within their home. One particularly disturbing incident captured on video occurred in the presence of one of their minor children. Following her public appeal for assistance, Rabadán was apprehended in the state of Guerrero.

Morelos Attorney General Fernando Blumenkron Escobar confirmed Rabadán's arrest and assured that he would face criminal proceedings. Fajardo acknowledged the lengthy nature of the legal process, admitting to experiencing anxiety despite her alleged aggressor's detention. She expressed confidence in the state prosecutor's office handling the case, stating, "I do not fear that he will get out because I do not believe it."

Fajardo also used the press conference to encourage other women experiencing violence to break their silence, report their abuse, and seek help to escape abusive cycles. She thanked Governor Margarita González Saravia, Attorney General Blumenkron, and Guerrero Governor Evelyn Salgado for their cooperation in apprehending Rabadán.
