Attempted robbery at Daniel Scioli's home thwarted; suspects arrested

An attempted robbery at the home of Argentina's Secretary of Tourism, Environment, and Sports, Daniel Scioli, was thwarted by security personnel at his Villa La Ñata estate. Three individuals, armed with 9-millimeter weapons and donning clown masks, attempted to infiltrate the property in the Tigre district.

The intruders were intercepted by Scioli's security detail as they entered the grounds of the estate, which has previously hosted futsal matches and political gatherings. The incident, which occurred early Wednesday morning, was captured on surveillance cameras. The assailants fled upon being confronted by security, but their escape was short-lived.

Hours after the failed attempt, the Buenos Aires Provincial Police apprehended the suspects. Official sources indicated that the robbery may have been orchestrated by former security personnel associated with Scioli. However, individuals close to the official downplayed the incident, describing it as 'minor' and emphasizing that the security team successfully deterred the attackers.
