Attorney General at Alumni Reunion: 'I am just Sanitiar Burhanuddin'

Indonesia's Attorney General, ST Burhanuddin, recently attended the Akbar SMP Talaga 2026 alumni reunion in Majalengka, where he embraced his past as a student of the institution. During his address to fellow alumni and former teachers, Burhanuddin humbly referred to himself as "Sanitiar Burhanuddin."

Burhanuddin highlighted that despite the diverse professions and paths taken by the alumni since their school days, the bond of brotherhood should remain unbroken. He emphasized that power and the passage of time should not diminish the connections forged during their formative years.

He also reflected on the values learned at SMP Negeri Talaga, mentioning discipline, honesty, and the courage to uphold truth. Burhanuddin encouraged his fellow alumni to feel comfortable approaching and conversing with him, reiterating his identity as a former student of the school that shaped him. The reunion itself was a large gathering, attended by approximately 1,800 individuals from the graduating classes of 1967 to 2000.
