Auckland gym assault: Man charged with wounding with intent to cause GBH

A woman was allegedly assaulted at an Auckland gym after a man jumped a security gate, according to police and a witness cited by the Herald.

Police confirmed that charges had been laid following the family-harm incident on Saturday. The woman was taken to hospital in serious condition.

A witness told the Herald they saw the man jump the security gate before attacking the woman.
