Audax Italiano comes from behind to beat Cobresal, moving away from the bottom in the First League

Audax Italiano secured a vital 2-1 victory over Cobresal in the thirteenth round of the Liga de Primera, staging a comeback to move away from the bottom of the league table. The home side, playing at the Estadio Bicentenario Municipal de La Florida, found themselves trailing early.

Cobresal took the lead in the 13th minute through Julián Brea's individual effort. However, Audax Italiano managed to equalize just before halftime. A penalty, awarded after a VAR review, was confidently converted by Michael Vadulli in the 45th minute plus stoppage time.

In the second half, Audax Italiano completed their comeback when Diego Coelho scored in the 49th minute. Despite opportunities to extend their lead, the scoreline remained unchanged until the final whistle.

This win propelled Audax Italiano to 14 points, placing them 12th in the standings. Conversely, Cobresal remains in the antepenultimate position with 13 points, putting them precariously close to relegation.
