Aurora and Universitario de Vinto Share the Points at Capriles

Aurora and FC Universitario de Vinto drew 1-1 on Tuesday night at Félix Capriles Stadium in Cochabamba in the second round of the Copa Bolivia. The match featured missed chances, a penalty, a sending-off and an ambulance transfer.

Universitario de Vinto struck first in the eighth minute. Lucas Cabrera reacted to a rebound left by Aurora goalkeeper Rubén Cordano after Oswaldo Blanco’s shot and fired the visitors into a 1-0 lead.

Aurora nearly equalized in the 19th minute, but José Pinto intervened before Sebastián Viviani could collect a pass inside the area. Aurora received another major opportunity after Didí Torrico fouled Jhon Rangel in the box. Rangel took the penalty in the 70th minute, but his shot hit the crossbar.

The equalizer finally came in the 83rd minute. Harrinson Mojica found space around 20 meters from goal and curled a left-footed shot into the goalkeeper’s upper-left corner. Both teams continued to threaten, but neither found a winner.

Aurora finished with 10 players after Sebastián Altamirano received a straight red card in the 90th minute for a heavy challenge on Torrico. The Universitario player required an ambulance transfer. Aurora moved to four points, while Universitario de Vinto earned its first point of the competition.
