Australian magician Daniel Hidden disappears without a trace after leaving a cryptic message, police launch massive search

A massive search operation is underway in Queensland's Gold Coast hinterland for Australian magician and mentalist Daniel Hidden, who vanished without a trace. The 26-year-old was last seen leaving his Broadbeach home in the early hours of June 14, driving a silver Hyundai Santa Fe towing a caravan. His vehicle was later discovered abandoned in Currumbin Valley, raising significant concerns for his well-being.

Police, volunteers, and members of the Australian Defence Force are combing the dense rainforest terrain. Hidden's disappearance is considered highly unusual by his family, who state that he is an experienced outdoorsman but would never disappear without contacting anyone. This behavior is completely out of character, fueling fears for his safety.

Authorities located Hidden's vehicle and caravan on Currumbin Creek Road in Currumbin Valley, an area known for its challenging, steep terrain and dense rainforest, near Springbrook National Park. Investigators are working to determine if Hidden had planned a short day hike or a longer stay in the remote bushland. At this stage, police have not indicated any signs of foul play and are officially treating the case as a search-and-rescue operation.

Adding a layer of intrigue, a message on Hidden's website reads, "Transformation requires disappearance." While this phrase has sparked online discussion given the circumstances, police have stated there is no indication it is linked to the case and consider it part of his professional branding. The search efforts are extensive, involving helicopters, drones, firefighters, and ground teams navigating the vast and difficult landscape.
