AVC Cup 2026 Volleyball Schedule: June 6 Matches

The 2026 AVC Cup women's volleyball tournament is set to begin on June 6 and will feature 12 teams competing across two groups. Host nation Philippines, Chinese Taipei, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Australia, and Uzbekistan are in Group A. Group B includes defending champions Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Iran, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Lebanon.

Vietnam's women's national team will kick off the tournament with their opening match against Lebanon on June 6. Coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt's squad is expected to secure a victory against the less experienced Lebanese team. However, the team faces a unique challenge with early morning matches, with their game against Lebanon scheduled for 8 a.m. Vietnam time. The team may need to wake as early as 5:30 a.m. to prepare, though their hotel's proximity to the venue offers some relief.

Other Group B matches on June 6 include Kazakhstan vs. Hong Kong at 11 a.m. and Iran vs. Indonesia at 5 p.m. In Group A, the Philippines will play Uzbekistan at 2 p.m.

The day's most anticipated match features South Korea against Kyrgyzstan in Group A. This marks South Korea's first appearance in the AVC Cup after being relegated from the Volleyball Nations League last year due to poor performance. Considered Vietnam's biggest rival for the championship, South Korea's presence adds significant competitive tension to the tournament.
