Ayano Go, star of the Japanese drama "Until the T-shirt Dries," revealed a surprising family history during a recent program appearance. He is the great-grandson of Meiji-era literary figure Kudo Kudo, a fact that adds a layer of "literary DNA" to his already artistic persona. His given name, "Go," is a direct tribute to his esteemed ancestor.

Interestingly, Ayano Go's initial career aspiration was not acting but teaching Japanese. He had already obtained his teaching license for Japanese language at both the national and high school levels, standing on the brink of a career in education.

During his university years at Nihon University College of Art, Ayano Go joined the Rakugo Society. His stage name, "Daishuke," coincidentally sounds similar to the English word "Diamond." However, he admitted to disliking the name, which was assigned by his seniors.

Initially, the team considered "shirt" but decided against it, fearing it would too strongly imply infidelity. The T-shirt, being more gender-neutral, was chosen to subtly allude to the unspoken emotions and secrets within the characters' relationships, mirroring the idea of lingering stains that cannot be washed away.
