Baby Lasagna keyboardist departs for solo career after Eurovision success

Mihael Žipovski, the keyboardist for the popular Croatian band Baby Lasagna, has announced his departure after two years. The musician shared his decision on social media, citing a desire to focus on his solo career, studio work, and music production.

Dear friends, I want to inform you that I have decided to leave the band. The past two years have brought me a wonderful and unique musical experience for which I will always be grateful, but I have decided to take the next step in my career and dedicate myself to studio work and music production.

In an emotional message, Žipovski expressed his gratitude for the "wonderful and unique musical experience" he shared with the band, particularly highlighting their historic second-place finish at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden, with the song "Rim Tim Tagi Dim." He thanked his bandmates, Marko Purišić (Baby Lasagna), Martin, Matija, and Roko, for their understanding and support. "It was a great honor to share the stage with them," he wrote, adding that they will continue to collaborate in different ways and that he will appear in a new music video.
