Baccalaureate 2026 Fall Session: Teachers find Math and History exams accessible

Teachers assessing the fall session of the 2026 Baccalaureate exams have described the Mathematics and History subjects as accessible, with some asserting that only students who have not applied themselves would fail to achieve a passing grade in Mathematics. The consensus among educators is that the exam presented a fair challenge, particularly for History, which was deemed less difficult than the summer administration.

Denisa Tănăsescu, a Mathematics teacher at "I.L. Caragiale" National College in Bucharest, analyzed the Math exam, noting that the final points of questions 2 and 3, marked 'C', are designed to differentiate between good and excellent students. She stated that the fall session's questions closely follow the ministry's published model and include progressively difficult elements. Tănăsescu believes a conscientious student who actively participates in class could score as high as 9 without private tutoring, and that the passing grade is relatively easy to attain. She suggested that low scores are typically a result of insufficient effort and frequent absences rather than excessive exam difficulty.

She added that while mastering the entire curriculum can be challenging due to emotions and information retention, the exam itself is manageable for most candidates. The real difficulty, she explained, lies more in individual preparation than in the complexity of the exam questions.
