The White House has drawn criticism for its use of Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny's music in a video promoting the work of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. The clip, which features footage of migrant arrests, was set to Bad Bunny's song "La MuDANZA" (The Move) from his album "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS" (I Should Have Taken More Photos).

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is a prominent critic of President Donald Trump's deportation policies. He has previously used his platform to advocate against ICE, famously shouting "ICE out" at the Grammy Awards. Concerns about potential ICE actions at his concerts have led him to avoid mainland US performances during his recent world tour. His Super Bowl halftime show, performed entirely in Spanish, also carried a political message that drew sharp criticism from Trump.

The White House's video notably altered lyrics from "La MuDANZA," which speaks of returning to Puerto Rico and homeland connection. The line "Applause for Mom and Dad, because they really delivered" was changed in the government clip to "Applause for Donald J. Trump, because he really delivered." The original song's tone, emphasizing home and family, was thus repurposed to seemingly praise the president's immigration enforcement actions.

Reactions on social media have been divided. Many users condemned the use of music by an artist who has openly opposed the administration's immigration policies. However, others welcomed the government's approach. A Bad Bunny fan account, "Access Bad Bunny," stated on X that they would forward the issue to the singer's team. It is unclear whether the audio's subsequent removal from the TikTok version of the video was due to a complaint from the artist or his representatives. Bad Bunny himself has not yet publicly commented on the video.
