Bahçeli's press advisor takes break from writing

Yıldıray Çiçek, a prominent figure within Turkey's Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) circles, has announced a temporary suspension of his writing activities. Çiçek, who serves as the chief columnist for the pro-MHP newspaper Türkgün and also holds the position of press advisor to MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, shared this news via his social media account.

In his statement, Çiçek informed his "valued readers" that he is taking a brief pause from his editorial pieces and other contributions to Türkgün. He expressed his hope to reconnect with his audience soon, using the phrase "Hoping to meet again..."

Çiçek has been a long-standing press advisor to Devlet Bahçeli, playing a key role in managing the MHP leader's public communications. Furthermore, he is known for conducting interviews with Bahçeli, often focusing on evaluations of Turkish politics. His writings in Türkgün provide commentary and analysis aligned with the MHP's perspective.
