Another patron preparing to leave with friends witnessed the fire start near the stage. "Flames spread along the ceiling within seconds, rapidly approaching the main exit," he said. Chaos erupted as patrons pushed to escape. Bangkok's governor, Chadchart Sittipunt, noted that by the time firefighters arrived, the blaze had already engulfed the ceiling. Preliminary investigations suggest most fatalities were likely due to smoke inhalation rather than direct burns.

Rescue teams discovered numerous bodies in the rear of the bar and near the restrooms, indicating that many were trapped and disoriented by the thick smoke. While survivors reported smoke from electrical equipment before the fire, police are awaiting the full investigation by fire and forensic experts to confirm the exact cause, including whether faulty electrical systems were to blame.
