Bangladesh braces for nationwide rain, slight temperature drop predicted

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a forecast for widespread rain across the country over the 24 hours commencing Friday morning. All eight divisions are expected to experience precipitation, ranging from light to moderately heavy showers accompanied by temporary gusty winds. The BMD predicts that most places in the Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions will receive significant rainfall. Additionally, many areas within the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions are also expected to see showers. The forecast specifically highlights the likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, indicating a potentially substantial amount of precipitation in these regions. In addition to the rainfall, the Met Office anticipates a slight decrease in both daytime and nighttime temperatures across the country. This cooling trend is expected to accompany the incoming weather system, offering some relief from prevailing temperatures.
