Bangladesh government committed to new pay scale, says top official

The proposed new pay scale for government employees in Bangladesh is nearing completion and could be announced at any moment, according to Prime Minister's Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar. Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat, Sattar affirmed the government's commitment to implementing the new scale, which is currently under consideration and in its final stages.

Sattar also addressed concerns about the rising prices of essential goods. He acknowledged that the market is experiencing some problems, which he attributed partly to disruptions in the production chain, possibly related to fuel and electricity issues. However, he assured that the government is actively working to resolve these problems and expects the situation to improve.
